UglyBuilding.com© is intended to provide a forum for individuals to express their opinions regarding the appearance of buildings, structures or areas within their communities. On a daily basis you may be forced to view, or live nearby a structure which you consider to be an "eyesore" or blight upon the landscape. These structures may be poorly maintained or abandoned public or private buildings, bridges, parks, roadways, or other areas. The owners or operators of these structures or areas many times are not accountable to those who must put up with or co-exist with these eyesores. UglyBuilding.com© is an opportunity for you to express your opinion about an "UglyBuilding", structure, or area. UglyBuilding.com© is intended to serve as a catalyst to improve our cites and communities. To this end, UglyBuilding.com© will post the photographs of those structures or areas you believe to be the ugliest. Photos will be posted by city or community. You, the viewer, will have an opportunity to vote for the ugliest entries. This site is not indented to be used to display single family homes. Local community leaders and owners of these structures are welcome to submit comments regarding their plans to improve or remove these blights. In order to showcase the positive aspects of a city or area, this site will also post photos of Architectural or Scenic treasures in the area identified as ArchTreasure©. UglyBuilding.com© will establish advertising links to those organizations that have an affinity with the site. Such advertisers might include architectural firms, Construction or Restoration Companies, Historical Societies, Cities, Communities etc. Cities or communities may wish to submit photos and maps of suggested architectural tours for the ArchTreasure© area. Copyrighted photos will not be accepted without the express written permission of the owner. Non-copyright photos submitted to this site will be used without restriction. Submitters are not entitled to any compensation for their submission. Submitters represent and warrant that all such photos are not copyrighted and that they have ownership and authority to make the photos available to UglyBuilding.com©. Photos containing sexually suggestive or pornographic content will not be accepted. Submission of photos does not guarantee display on this site or the display of photos or captions. |
| Voting Procedure |
|
The first ten photos received for a city or area will be identified as the "Top Ten Ugliest" for a city or community. Subsequent submissions will be placed in a Nominations Group. Those nominated photos which receive the highest number of votes within a defined period of time will be moved into the "Top Ten Ugliest". The new member of the top ten will displace the previous lowest scoring member of the top ten. The displaced member will be placed back into the Nominations Group. You may vote again after the counters are periodically reset. |
| Instruction for Photo Submission |

To submit a photo, email a standard picture file formatted image (jpg, gif, tif, etc.) along with the city and state that the structure are in and any comments or other information that you feel is relevant to webmaster@uglybuilding.com. The submission of your name is optional and will be withheld upon request. |

None of the information received or collected will be released to third partys. Your email and other information will be used only for the purpose of contacting you for clarification or notification. |
